How To Embrace Autumn

Today actually felt like Autumn. Each season has a particular season. It may not actually feel like that season until it actually does, Lol. Today is the day it felt like fall is officially here! There is a crispness in the air, that has announced falls arrival. There is also that wonderful, can’t miss it, smell. You know the one I mean; the scent of leaves and slight dampness, from the mixture of rain and cold, and the trees. Fall is the time of year for so many great things. Let us share a few with you: 1.It’s the time of apples. Apples are such a hearty fruit, boasting numerous nutritional benefits, from vitamin C to antioxidants. And you know what they say “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Apples are particularly high in fiber. They make our digestive tracts happy. Head to your local farmers market and/or the cider mill and pick up some fresh apples! 2.Baking. Autumn means yummy baked treats. Can’t you just smell the apple crisp in the oven? Get imaginative with your puffs, pastries, and try out healthy alternatives to your favorite comfort treats. This season we’ll be trying out some pretty awesome (we hope) baked goods, that we’ll be sharing with you. Please share yours with us as well. We’d love to see what you make! 3.Snuggles. The crisp weather means that it’s the time for uber amounts of snuggles. Pull out that old favorite blanket, those long fuzzy socks, and pop Harry Potter into the blue ray player. Or, snuggle up to your loved one(s) and be sure to tell them how much you care for them. Because just like autumn, life is short and sweet.
